New movie! Ryan Reynolds is “The Highlander”

Studio Summit have confirmed the rumours that have been circulating for weeks now, that Ryan Reynolds is set to revive Christopher Lambert’s Highlander role in the upcoming remake of the sci-fi movie.

The ‘Green Lantern’ and ‘Safe House’ actor will bring Connor MacLeod back to the big screen, which has apparently been on the cards since 2008.

28 Weeks Later’ director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo will give direction on the remake of the movie and Matt Holloway, who penned the ‘Iron Man’ script has also written this script.

Tastemaker: Ryan Reynolds

Ryan on his simple workout secret, eyebrow plucking, and why aging can be a very good thing:

The Importance of Timeless Style
“I look at guys like Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart, and what they were wearing is what you’d wear now. I just hope in 20 years, when you see a photo of me at a premiere, I’ll look good.”

Don’t Overpluck!
“I see guys with, like, eyebrow art, and I wanna tell them, ‘You don’t have to go too crazy on your brows. Take it easy, man!'”

The Fragrance
“I like the iconic nature of the new BOSS Bottled”—Reynolds has been the face of the BOSS Bottled fragrance collection since 2009—”which has been around for a very long time but was recently relaunched. I think a fragrance is more of a signature than even what you wear—something you’ll remember more down the road than a shirt.”

Embrace Getting Older
“I recently saw a picture from when I was just a pup—maybe 20 or 21 years old. And I look pretty bad. I’ve got some weird facial hair, and my hair is glopped with about six pounds of gel. So I really don’t shy away from aging at all. I love getting older.”

A Few of Reynolds’ Favorite Things

Biggest Indulgence
“It’s never been substances. It’s motorcycles. They’re like motorized crack for me. I have an old BMW, a Triumph, a Ducati—all old rust buckets.”

Preferred Vacation Getaway
“I like to go to places that I’m fascinated by. I’m not the kind of guy who’s going to South Beach. The last big trip I went on was four years ago, when I rode across Australia on a motorcycle. Next is Bhutan, which I’m really looking forward to.”

Desert-Island Essential
“A Confederacy of Dunces. That’s a book I’ve read maybe a thousand times. It takes place in the French Quarter of New Orleans, and it’s got these acerbic, corrosively funny characters. Whenever I visit the city, I feel like I’m a part of that world. And then I’d bring some sort of magical safety kit that would get me off this fucking desert island.”

Ryan Reynolds Visits Greyston

I am extremely sorry for the lack of updates but I was busy with my exams, so I was not able to post anything on this website. When I was gone I received a nice email from one of Blake Lively’s fans, who gave me a link to n interesting article.

“Ryan Reynolds came for a tour of Greyston this past week. Taking some time off from his very successful acting career, Ryan was introduced to Bernie Glassman, Greyston’s Founder, through Jeff Bridges.

After touring our programs and services, he was quite impressed and pledged to become more involved.”

Celebrating 4th Anniversary!

I cannot believe it, another year passed by! 4 years ago (yes, 4 years!) my friend Debbi and I started this page (read the full story here!) and concerning my fanatism nothing has changed. I am still all over Ryan Reynolds and it looks like I will never stop worshipping this very modest man (which means I will die alone hugging my computer). I am very proud of Ryan, he worked very hard for being there where he is right now, and I wish him all the best, and my way to show my love and support is through this little website.

Please don’t forget the following dates:

7 February 2012: US “Safe House” premiere in NYC
8 February 2012: Late Show with David Letterman, CBS
9 February 2012: Live with Kelly
9 February 2012: “Safe House” opens in Australia, Croatia, Russia, Singapore
10 February 2012: “Safe House” opens in Canada, USA, Spain, Turkey
21 February 2012: Celebrity Autobiography
22 February 2012: “Safe House” opens in France, Belgium
23 February 2012: “Safe House” opens in Germany, Hong Kong, Netherlands
24 February 2012: “Safe House” opens in Norway, UK
2 March 2012: “Safe House” opens in Italy
22 March 2012: “Safe House” opens in Argentina

I tend to be very nostalgic, so I put up some sort of a timeline with personal milestones that made me continue running this website. Continue reading Celebrating 4th Anniversary!

Chicago Tribute’s Interview

Entertainment reporter D. Richards had the chance to talk to Ryan when he was in New York:

Was that really you or did a stuntman take the brunt of the beatings?
They make you earn it on a movie like this. A lot of it is shot so close that there’s no sort of expansive wide shots where the stuntman gets to do the stunts for you. It’s me. I got to give it and also take it pretty much, but I was beat up by the end of this thing, that’s for sure.

What are your best memories of the show where you got your start, “Fifteen“?
I have great memories on that show. It was the first job I ever did. I shot that in Orlando, Fla. Being a kid from Vancouver, Canada, that was kind of an amazing place to go and spend some time. When you’re a young kid of 13, 14 or 15 years old and you’re out there at that age, I had a lot of firsts doing that show, both good and bad.

One of my favorite movies you did was last year’s “Buried.” It should have gotten some Oscar attention but didn’t. Do actors feel robbed when that happens?
No, it’s a voting process, so I don’t know how you can really vilify a democratic process like that, so no.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?
Celebrating it on Feb. 13th or the 15th. That’s how I roll.
